Two Available Soon! – Updated
Well as you no doubt can see, I rarely have knives available in the shop. I just don’t get the extra time very often to knock out a knife for the shop. I will have these two available soon. I’ve already posted these pictures to the Facebook Page. That means they will likely not last too long. I’m going to be offering these first come first served unless they actually make it to the shop page. If you’d like one please message me from the Contact Page.
In the photos below the top blade is one of the New Texan design. It is belt finished and I left some of the heat-treat scale on it and beat it up some. It’s a rough, survival, used looking style finish. It is an 8 inch overall length blade. The bottom of the two is an 8 1/4 inch Badger. It is also belt finished, but it has the differential heat-treat with the Hamon showing. Here is a great article on Hamons. Both of these will be ready to go soon.
Let me know ASAP!
6-25-18 UPDATE:
The bottom knife in the left pic and same knife in right pic is gone. It has been spoken for. Just the Texan at top left available now. Act soon!
New Design – Texan fixed blade
Well I decided to go ahead and let everyone know about my newest fixed blade design. I call it the Texan. It’s got a very comfortable handle design, even when changing from the larger 9 1/2 inch version to the 8 inch EDC size. Both sizes fit nicely in the hand. I also changed the handle scale design just a bit to give it a more aggresive look. I have taken one order for this particular design so far, so I figured let’s get it out there for everyone to see. I am also currently making one of these that will be available for sale. I’ll be doing it in a “Survival” belt finish to give it a tough look.
If you find yourself interested in having one for yourself, please don’t hesitate to get with me. Feel free to contact me via the Contact form on the site, or if you’re reading this from the Facebook page, Message me on messenger and we’ll get the details worked out.
I hope you guys like the new design. Comments are always welcome. What do you think?
Back in the shop and repaired the website!
It’s been nice getting back in the shop. About to start a couple more knives, and these will be made out of awesome Chad Nichols Damascus. I can’t wait to see how they turn out when I get to fit & finish time.
On another note, I got the website all fixed after three days of editing pages, chatting with tech support, and pulling out the rest of my hair lol. Who am I kidding, there wasn’t that much left anyway. That’s beside the point. All that typing, error fixing business can make one testy. I just wanted to post a little update for you guys. Head over to the website and give it a spin. Let me know how you like it, and if you run across any issues, please let me know. I’ll get right on it.
Well, I’ve blabbed enough at you. For those who have purchased my knives, thanks again for the business. For those that haven’t yet, I’m looking forward to it.
Later,
Walter
New Design
New Knife Design
Here is a new knife design I drew up recently. I’ve already decided to go with the Cape as a new design as you can see below.
The Cape
This is the caping knife design. This knife will be good for caping/skinning or just your everyday carry option. It’s not too big to be cumbersome, and not too small to handle the business. Also, add some black g10 or canvas micarta and It’ll have a very tactical look to it. This is going to be a great all around knife. If interested I’ll be adding this to the Custom Order page.
Please don’t hesitate to give your input/comments. I look forward to it.
Thanks for stopping by,
Walter
Rival Prototype
Rival Friction Folder Prototype

This little guy is starting to come along now. Profiling the little blade has been a bit of a challenge. It isn’t easy to hold it at all, mostly due to it heats up super quick on the 2×72. I don’t mind the challenge. I’m actually loving the not knowing part of it all. Kind of weird probably, but fun none the less.
I’m about to start working on the spacer for the butt of the handle tomorrow. For now it’s going to be pinned and epoxied on this one. I’m starting to lean toward making a liner lock after this. I’m not sure, sort of will depend on how all of you react to it. If you guys seem to like it, I’ll make some more. If not, I’ll move straight to finishing up my design of a liner lock (Yes one is in the works).

Well, with that said, if you’re a maker and have some tips for me please leave them in the comments. I’d love to hear from you, and learning more during the process couldn’t hurt. As always, thanks a lot for stopping by, and I appreciate your attention. I’m definitely not a writer.
