This a healthy sized folder. Because of its size, it’s not for the faint at heart. The frames and back spacer are machined from 6AL-4V titanium. The titanium frames and screws have been glass bead blasted to match. They are a nice gunmetal color. The 1095 high carbon steel blade pivots on ceramic ball bearings in stainless cages. Therefore, it operates super smooth. It has a ceramic 1/16th inch ball detent on the lock bar. The face of the lock bar has been carbidized because this will keep lock face from wearing against the hardened steel blade to quickly.
This knife has a nice early lock up which should give you years of trouble free use. It opens very quickly and smoothly with just a flick of the flipper tab. When closing keep your finger clear of the blade edge as this beauty has a very smooth drop free closure once releasing the lock bar. Besides that, it also has a cammed stop pin, which means if your lockup loosens over time you can tighten it back up by adjusting the stop pin. It comes with a small stainless rod to help with that very thing.
